Remember that tomorrow (October 19) is the last day of the first quarter!  If you were absent for a test, come in during homeroom tomorrow to avoid getting a zero on the test.  Homeroom tomorrow is a little longer than usual (30 minutes), so that'll be the perfect opportunity for you.

There's a great video on Khan Academy that explains the Distributive Property and combining like terms.  Click here to watch it. 

He walks you through an example that he writes in white.  In that example, he comes up with "- 8y" as part of the expression.  Why is it "- 8y" and not "+ 8y"?
