Algebra 8 - Extra Credit :)
Here's a chance to earn some extra credit and get in some more review for Wednesday's math portion of the STAR test. If you choose to do this, the latest you can turn it in is before school on Wednesday. You can earn up to 5 extra credit points - that's a lot!
Pg. 202 #1-37 EOO (every other odd: #1, 5, 9, 13, 17, etc.)
Pg. 484 #1-15 odd, 19-35 odd, 43-47 odd
Pg. 706 #1-7 odd, 27, 29, 57
Pg. 906 #5-9 odd, 19, 43, 45
If I'm counting correctly, there are 46 questions - not that bad if you do half today and half tomorrow. Just remember to check the answers - they're all odd so you can check all of them in the back of the book!

Pre-Algebra... Extra Credit!
Here's an optional assignment that is worth up to 5 extra credit points (that can make a big difference!) - and the end of the progress report period is next Friday...
At the beginning of your book is a section called "Standards Practice" - it begins on page SG 2. It gives problems for each of the 7th grade standards and is therefore a good review for STAR.
The math portion of STAR is Wednesday, so this assignment must be finished prior to that if you want credit for it. The latest you can turn this in is before school on Wednesday - but feel free to bring it by sooner!
It's probably going to sound like a lot, but it's really not nearly as bad as it sounds (don't be discouraged from doing it when you see the numbers).
Your assignment is: Standards Practice #1-85 odd (skip #23, 39, 41, 61, 63, 75, 83)
At some point this weekend, I will post the answers as a comment below.
Have fun, and happy weekend! :)

"What Do I Need to Bring Tomorrow?"
As you know, tomorrow is a minimum day for Open House...
Algebra 8: I hope you've been studying for your test - we will start the test at the very beginning of the period. Bring all of your normal math supplies (pencil, homework, and math binder).
Columbia: You don't need to bring your math binder; you'll only need a pencil. If you finished your scale drawing, you can turn that in tomorrow - otherwise, it's due Monday.
Zambezi: You don't need to bring your math binder; you'll only need a pencil. I'll be checking your homework (pg. 519) on Friday.
See you all tomorrow :)

Pre-algebra
We are going to be doing Comic Scale Drawings in class tomorrow (Columbia) and Friday (Zambezi). I know this is late notice, especially for Columbia, but this is a little extra credit opportunity. Bring in a black-and-white comic (can be clipart) that is approximately 3.5"X3.5" and you'll receive an extra credit point. Tell your friends!
